Dr. Nyboer began his practice in 1976 with a passion to bring the best and most advanced eye care to the people of Alaska. Being the son of a research cardiologist, he was always interested in the latest research for clinical application of new designs and products. Dr. Nyboer performed the first LASIK in Alaska and continues staying current with the newest devices and treatments. At this time, Dr. Nyboer does not see patients, but continues to be the inspiration and the go-to for all things eyecare for Southside. As a personal note, he misses seeing his longtime patients, but has faith that Dr Stemmle and Dr Lamigo will provide them with the best of care. When necessary, they know when it is time and who we trust to send our patients for complications and surgeries.
